Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our zero-fee platform, direct UPI donations, and the verification process in Aligarh.

General & Platform

It is a 100% free, community-driven digital directory designed to connect donors directly with Masjids in Aligarh that require financial assistance for construction, repairs, or maintenance.
The platform is founded by Shawab Khan and run by a network of dedicated local volunteers in Aligarh who handle ground verification and platform maintenance out of goodwill.
Yes. We charge zero platform fees, zero commission, and zero processing fees. 100% of your donation goes directly to the Masjid.
The platform is self-funded by the founder and run by volunteers as a form of Sadaqah. We do not take a cut from your donations to cover server or operational costs.
Currently, yes. To ensure strict physical verification and maintain absolute trust, we are exclusively focusing on Masjids within the Aligarh region.
Funds raised for Masjid construction/maintenance generally fall under Sadaqah Jariyah, not Zakat. Please consult with a local scholar if you intend to give Zakat.
No account is needed! You can browse projects and donate instantly using your existing UPI apps (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm).
Unlike generic platforms that collect funds in their own bank accounts and charge 5-10% fees, we act only as a bridge. The UPI QR codes belong directly to the Masjids.

Donations & Payments

Simply browse the active projects, click 'Donate Now', and either scan the official QR code displayed or tap the 'Pay via UPI' button to open your payment app.
All Indian UPI applications are supported, including Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and bank-specific UPI apps.
Currently, donations are restricted to Indian bank accounts via UPI. If the specific Masjid has an FCRA-approved account, you will need to contact the Masjid committee directly.
Your money goes directly from your bank account to the official bank account of the Masjid committee. We never hold or process your funds.
Because we do not collect the funds, we cannot issue tax receipts. If the Masjid is registered for 80G exemptions, you must contact their committee directly with your transaction ID.
Since transactions happen directly between your bank and the Masjid's bank, you will need to rely on your bank's standard UPI dispute resolution (usually resolved in 3-5 business days).
Yes. Because you are paying via UPI directly, the platform does not collect your name or email. The Masjid will only see your UPI ID/Name on their bank statement.
There is no minimum amount required by the platform. UPI transaction limits set by your bank (typically ₹1 Lakh per day) will apply as the maximum.
You will see the confirmed transaction in your UPI app, listing the Masjid's official bank name.
Yes. Our local verification team ensures that the QR codes uploaded strictly belong to the official Masjid committee and not a personal account.

Masjid Registration & Verification

Click the 'Start Project' button in the navigation bar, fill out the form with the Masjid's details, Imam/Trustee contacts, and upload the official UPI QR code and verification documents.
Any community member can submit a request, but our verification team will directly contact the official Imam or committee members of that Masjid to verify the need before it goes live.
We require the official UPI QR code of the Masjid, a project photo, and a verification document (like an official letterhead or a utility bill in the Masjid's name).
Once a project is submitted, our on-ground volunteers in Aligarh physically visit the Masjid, verify the construction/maintenance need, and cross-check the bank details with the committee.
Physical verification and approval typically take 48 to 72 hours, depending on the availability of the Masjid committee.
We strongly encourage Masjids to have official committee accounts. In rare, verified cases, a joint trustee account may be permitted, but it undergoes extreme scrutiny.
Both! You can register projects for full construction, roof repairs, water coolers, wudu area renovations, or any other structural need.
If a project fails our physical verification or documentation checks, the status is marked as 'Rejected' and it will not appear on the website.
Projects stay active until the target amount is assumed to be met or the Masjid committee informs us to close the listing.

Transparency & Tracking

Because donations are completely decentralized (peer-to-peer), we cannot automatically track the exact amount raised. We rely on the Masjid committee to update us when their goal is met.
Once the committee notifies us that sufficient funds have been raised, the admin updates the status to 'Completed', and the QR code is removed from the active listings.
We encourage Masjid committees to share completion photos (like the finished roof or installed water cooler), which we plan to feature in a 'Completed Impact' section.
Absolutely! We provide the exact neighborhood/location of the Masjid so local donors can visit and witness the impact of their Sadaqah.
Only the platform administrators have the authority to change a project's status to Approved, Pending, or Completed based on ground reports.
